Reiki Circle
Friday evenings 7:45pm, every other month

Come and immerse yourself in healing energy by receiving Reiki. Reiki is spiritually-guided, life-force energy, a simple and natural method of spiritual healing and self-improvement. The “Reiki Circle” is an informal gathering of Reiki practitioners offering this healing art to develop their skills. Volunteers are needed to receive Reiki treatment, so both practitioners and non-practitioners are welcome to attend!

Next Reiki Circle Date: May 24.

The Reiki Circle will take place at 7:45pm after our Friday evening Yin Yoga class, so attend class before the circle, if possible, and enhance your body’s self-healing abilities. Thanks to Reiki Master Francine Ang for organizing these Reiki Circle gatherings.

Yoga for a Cause
Donation-Based Classes Supporting Local Non-Profits
Thursday evenings 7:30pm, once a month

Each month, Spiral Path Yoga Center hosts a charity yoga class to benefit a non-profit organization in the local community. The class is donation-based and all the monies collected are given directly to the charity of the month. Yogis of all levels are welcome to attend (including absolute beginners), and any donation is greatly appreciated.*

May 30th – Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA, taught by Rachel Hansen

Our first charity yoga class will be held on Thursday, May 30th from 7:30-8:45PM. The class will be taught by Rachel Hansen and all proceeds will benefit the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA.

Join us to enjoy a yoga practice that not only benefits you, but supports a great cause! We will accept cash and check donations (no credit cards). (Please make checks out to Spiral Path Yoga, so that we can make a single collective donation after the event.) 100% of your donation will go towards the non-profit of the month.

Cultivating a Personal Practice
Special 3-Week Series, June Saturdays at 10:15am

Join Emily Bernhardt in this special 3-Week Series exploring the benefits of a personal home practice. Personal practice is a great way to supplement your favorite classes at the studio and make yoga a consistent part of your life.

Congratulations!  You’ve attended group classes regularly and are enjoying the benefits of a regular yoga practice. Maybe it’s once or twice a week. Maybe you practice more or less regularly. Wherever you are, you can enhance your yoga experience with personal practice.

 

  • Personal practice offers you the opportunity to continue your yoga when your schedule is interrupted.
  • Personal practice offers you the opportunity to continue your yoga when things change and attending your favorite group class is difficult.
  • Personal practice offers you the opportunity to explore elements of the practice more deeply.
 
This series will explore how to cultivate your OWN practice! Each session will begin with a quick check-in to help you to stay motivated and engaged. Then, we will take some time to explore forms or sequences that resonate with you. And of course, we will practice – with enough space to create a template that you can carry with you, wherever you go.
You’ll be guided and mentored by Emily Bernhardt, a lifelong yogi, who has completed 200-Hour trainings with Allison Linnman and also Keric Morinaga (Anusara), as well as Yin Yoga trainings with Addie deHilster and Restorative Yoga training with Leeann Carey. Emily has also attended workshops with well-known teachers including Tias Little, Sarah Powers, Desiree Raumbaugh, and Tony G. Her personal practice is inspired by great teachers from the Iyengar (Sue Darling and Paul Cabinis) and Ashtanga (Melanie Fawer) traditions.
 
The series will take place Saturdays June 1, 8, and 15 at 10:15am. You can use your class pass to attend these sessions, or join us for a single drop-in class!
 
This is the perfect topic to prepare you for your summer travel and practice time.

Mindfulness for Yogis: 4-Week Series
Saturdays, July 13-Aug 3rd

If you’ve been practicing yoga for a while, you may be wondering what it means to deepen your practice. Maybe you’ve discovered some amazing benefits: increased ease in your body, and a little more calm in your mind (some moments, at least).

Do you have a sense that there’s more to the practice than poses, but you don’t know where to find it? Or, maybe you’ve heard you should try meditation, but you don’t know where to start, or if you even have time for adding yet another practice to your routine?

Mindfulness for Yogis is a 4-Week Series designed to help you connect the dots. You’ll learn the “hidden” meditation skills within your yoga poses, and build on what you already know from your yoga practice. Step by step, you’ll be empowered to explore these same mindful yoga skills in a grounded and realistic-for-you meditation practice.

And, if you’re wondering how yoga and meditation can help you when you’re having a stressful conversation with your boss, watching the news, or moving through your day, this series will help you connect with mindfulness principles that you can use anytime, anywhere.

Join Addie deHilster, Founder of Spiral Path Yoga Center, for four special classes this summer! Addie is an experienced practitioner of both yoga and Mindfulness Meditation. She is a graduate of the Mindful Yoga & Meditation Training Program at Spirit Rock Meditation Center as well as InsightLA’s Mindfulness Facilitator program.

The series will take place Saturdays July 13, 20, 27 and August 3rd at 10:30am. You can use your class pass to attend these sessions, or join us for a single drop-in class!

Each class in this 4-Week Series builds on the previous session, so it’s ideal if you can come to all four. However, you are welcome to drop in when you can (if full attendance is not possible). You will have access to a recorded meditation to practice with each week, to help support your meditation at home. Addie will also recommend reading relevant chapters of Moving Into Meditation by Anne Cushman.
