Daylong Silent Yoga & Meditation Retreat
with Addie deHilster
Saturday, February 23, 10:00am-4:30pm
St. George’s Episcopal Church (La Canada)
Deepen your experience of yoga and meditation on this one-day retreat. Addie deHilster will offer mindful yoga instructions, with an energizing morning practice and a peaceful afternoon Yin Yoga session. And, throughout the day, you’ll receive guidance on the practice of sitting and walking meditation.
With the exception of teacher instruction, the day will be held in silence. In the absence of speech and conversation, we’ll enjoy a sense of timeless stillness. You may find that your mind settles more easily, as we focus on the simplicity of practice and presence.
Addie deHilster is an experienced practitioner of both Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation. Over the years, she has accumulated about ten weeks of silent retreat practice and benefited greatly from those opportunities to listen more closely to body and mind, without the press of everyday distractions. She is a graduate of the Mindful Yoga & Meditation Training Program at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and Mindfulness Facilitator program through InsightLA.
This event will be held at St. George’s Episcopal Church in La Canada, where we’ll enjoy a spacious practice room and tranquil gardens.
Directions to the venue and further instructions will be sent to registrants to help you prepare for this day of going inward! Please plan to bring your lunch, a water bottle, and your mat – we’ll provide the rest.
Sundays at 12:15pm, once a month

Friday evenings 7:45pm, every other month
Come and immerse yourself in healing energy by receiving Reiki. Reiki is spiritually-guided, life-force energy, a simple and natural method of spiritual healing and self-improvement. The “Reiki Circle” is an informal gathering of Reiki practitioners offering this healing art to develop their skills. Volunteers are needed to receive Reiki treatment, so both practitioners and non-practitioners are welcome to attend!
Next Reiki Circle Dates: February 15 and April 19.
The Reiki Circle will take place at 7:45pm after our Friday evening Yin Yoga class, so attend class before the circle, if possible, and enhance your body’s self-healing abilities. Thanks to Reiki Master Francine Ang for organizing these Reiki Circle gatherings.
