Dear yoga friends and community members,

We are writing this message today to share some deeply sad news with you. On Friday afternoon, we learned that our beloved friend and colleague John Valdez has passed away.

This comes as a huge shock to all of us. John was a gentle, caring soul, a dedicated yogi, and a leader in our studio community. We know that those of you who have attended his classes or interacted with him in any way will be incredibly saddened by this loss – we are heart-broken with you.

Our most sincere condolences go out to his family and many friends.

John was inspired and excited by the opportunity to become co-owner of Spiral Path Yoga Center. We are grateful to have had him as a member of our team. As we move forward, we hope to honor his memory through our efforts to bring the peace and healing of yoga to the community.

In the coming weeks, we are making plans for a gathering at the studio to celebrate and remember John. In the meantime, we are rescheduling the Open House that was set for tomorrow (Sunday Jan 10th), since we are still reeling from this news. We ask for your patience as we work to fill John’s shoes and take care of his weekly classes.

For now, if you feel moved, please light a candle, say a prayer, send metta, or hold John and his family in your heart in whatever way is meaningful for you.

We will keep you updated here on our website and through our Facebook page, and we can be reached at info@spiralpathyogacenter.com.

Wishing you peace and strength at this time, as we heal together,

Addie and Peggy
