Remember the tale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears? Like Goldilocks, you may find yourself looking for just the right fit when it comes to yoga. Some classes are very gentle, some classes are quite vigorous and athletic, while others are restful and meditative.

If you’re looking for a class that’s somewhere in the middle – an active class that offers a moderate challenge, some technique, and some opportunity to unwind – then our Stretch & Strengthen class may be a great fit for you. The pace in this class is relaxed enough for a beginner to keep up and learn, and it also allows a more intermediate practitioner to refine their practice.

This well-rounded class can include strengthening poses, mindful movement explorations, breathwork, restorative yoga poses, and more, depending on the teacher. We often use yoga props (blocks, blankets, etc.) to help you alleviate physical imbalances and to help you experience the wonderful integrity of proper alignment.

So, join us soon for a Stretch & Strengthen class, especially if you are interested in learning how to practice so that the yoga poses truly serve your health and well-being! We think this class is so central to what we do at the studio, that we offer it almost every day. The chances are pretty good that one will fit your schedule.

Do you have questions about classes? Contact us and get a recommendation, or read through our class descriptions. If you’re in the La Crescenta are (or La Canada, Montrose, Tujunga, Sunland, Altadena, or Glendale…you get it, if you’re LOCAL!), come and try yoga with us!

Addie deHilster, E-RYT 500, is an experienced yoga teacher and Co-Owner of Spiral Path Yoga Center. She teaches several yoga and meditation classes a week here, and leads the studio’s Teacher Training and Certification program, as well as Yin Yoga Teacher Trainings.
