It’s mid-September now, so that means we’re in the heart of Earth Element Season! In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Earth Season is a shorter, fifth season in addition to our familiar four: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Coinciding with the harvest, Earth Season is late Summer through early Fall, before the Autumn Equinox. It brings an opportunity to slow down and savor the abundance of Earth that supports us.

In this video, Addie gives you a peek into her Yin Yoga practice and teaching, highlighting some of the ways you can emphasize Earth Element in through yoga poses and meditation. Practicing with the Elements connects us to nature and the cycles of the seasons, and is a big influence on how she structures her Yin Yoga classes throughout the year.
