While we believe that every yoga class can be a great class, some styles of yoga are a better fit for different students, depending on what you’re looking for in your practice.

So, let’s talk about Gentle Yoga. One of the core values at our studio is that yoga is for everyone – all body types, fitness levels, and ages. A gentle yoga class takes a slow and steady pace, and doesn’t leave anyone behind.

The poses and movements are often “customized” with yoga props (blocks, blankets, etc.) to suit individual needs, work around injuries, or simply make things more comfortable. It feels good to take your time in class and enjoy the moment with accessible yoga poses!

Even with this mellow approach, the benefits of a gentle class are increased strength and flexibility, improved balance and mobility, enhanced calm and focus, stress relief, easy breathing, and enjoyment. And, all of this gets better the more often you practice!

Gentle Yoga Classes are ideal:

  •  if you’re a beginner
  •  if you’re easing back in to yoga
  •  if you’re returning after an illness or injury
  •  if you’re using yoga for an evening wind-down practice
  •  if you simply prefer a lighter, slower-paced class!
